Hi its Zeb and Piers here.
In topic time we are learning about Maori culture. Some people are learning about carving, craft, mytholoyg, history, Maori language and kapahaka. Zeb is in the Kapahaka group and they are trying to find out how the All Blacks haka has changed over time. Piers is in crafts group and they are trying find out how Maori traditionally carved patterns into wood, bone or stone. We might also find out about tattoos.
So far its been fun researching in books. We have started learning about more specific things. For example, instead of kapahaka were learning about how the haka started. We are looking forward to learning more and answering ourresearch questions using the internet and interviews with people.

doing maori for topic in class this term is really fun!!!
In my group we are learning about the maori's fortified village known as a PA. Each group has a group leader and for my group I am the group leader.
My group has two other people in my group called Jamie and Toby. When we do reasherch on our topic during class time we can use the internet or books.
