We keep animals for several reasons. The animals who live in our house with us are pets. We have a dog we keep for company. He needs lots of big walks so we get excercise too! Dogs are good at letting you know when a visitor has arrived and patting a dog is proved to be a good stress reliever. We also keep animals for food. We raise chickens for their eggs and we eat any roosters we raise too. We also raise cows,pigs and sheep for their meat. This way we know that they have been raised kindly and fed good natural food so that we are eating meat free from hormones etc. Julie, Snow's Mum
